Avantio
The Avantio integration connects Akiles with Avantio, a property management system for vacation rentals. When connected, Akiles automatically creates members for each booking, assigns them access to the correct doors, and provisions a Magic Link so guests can open doors with their phone.
Connecting Avantio
- Contact Avantio support to obtain the API key.
- In the Akiles admin panel, go to Integrations and create a new Avantio integration.
- Enter your Avantio API key, then save.
Once connected, you will see the linked Avantio company in the integration settings. To change the key later, click Change API key.
Resource mapping
After connecting, Akiles imports your Avantio accommodations (properties/rooms) as resources. Each accommodation appears in the integration’s resource list.
For each accommodation, you can assign an Akiles member group. This determines which doors guests staying at that accommodation will be able to access. Bookings for unmapped accommodations will not be synced.
How members are synced
Each confirmed booking in Avantio becomes a member in Akiles. The member’s access period is determined by the booking’s arrival and departure dates combined with the check-in and check-out times, converted to UTC using the accommodation’s timezone (automatically detected from its coordinates).
Canceled bookings are automatically removed. You can see the current status of each booking in the integration member list.
Changes you make in Avantio show up in Akiles in real time.
Settings
Magic Link
When the magic link setting is enabled, Akiles provisions a Magic Link for each active booking. The Magic Link is written back to the booking’s external field in Avantio, so it can be included in guest communications.
When a guest opens their Magic Link, they can use their phone to open the doors assigned to the accommodation where they are staying.
When enabled, Akiles adds the guest’s email to the member, so the guest can access the property by logging in with their email on the Akiles app or webapp. Off by default.
PIN
When enabled, Akiles generates a random PIN for each member and writes it back to the booking’s external field in Avantio.
Avantio can store either a magic link or a PIN per booking, but not both. If both magic link and PIN are enabled, only the magic link is written back to Avantio — guests can still see their PIN by opening the magic link.
