Avantio
The Avantio integration connects Akiles with Avantio, a property management system for vacation rentals. When connected, Akiles automatically creates members for each booking, assigns them access to the correct doors, and provisions a Magic Link so guests can open doors with their phone.
Connecting Avantio
- In the Akiles admin panel, go to Integrations and create a new Avantio integration.
- Enter your Avantio API username and password, then save. Akiles will verify the credentials by connecting to the Avantio API.
Once connected, you will see the linked username in the integration settings. To change credentials later, click Change credentials.
The API username + password are NOT the same credentials that you use to log in to Avantio. Contact Avantio support to obtain them.
The credentials are stored securely and are never shown again after saving. Only the username is displayed for reference.
Resource mapping
After connecting, Akiles imports your Avantio accommodations (properties/rooms) as resources. Each accommodation appears in the integration’s resource list.
For each accommodation, you can assign an Akiles member group. This determines which doors guests staying at that accommodation will be able to access. Bookings for unmapped accommodations will not be synced.
How members are synced
Each confirmed booking in Avantio becomes a member in Akiles. The member’s access period is determined by the booking’s arrival and departure dates combined with the check-in and check-out times, converted to UTC using the accommodation’s timezone (automatically detected from its coordinates).
Canceled bookings are automatically removed. You can see the current status of each booking in the integration member list.
Akiles polls the Avantio booking notification buffer every 20 minutes to pick up new, modified, and canceled bookings. Therefore changes in Avantio may take up to 20 minutes to show up in Akiles.
Magic Link
For each active booking, Akiles automatically provisions a Magic Link. The Magic Link is written back to the booking’s Smart Lock field in Avantio, so it can be included in guest communications.
When a guest opens their Magic Link, they can use their phone to open the doors assigned to the accommodation where they are staying.
Settings
PIN
When enabled, Akiles generates a random PIN for each member in addition to the Magic Link. The PIN is not written back to Avantio, but guests can view their PIN by visiting their Magic Link. This is useful if your property has keypads or PIN-based locks alongside phone-based access.
