Telegram

The Telegram integration sends Akiles events and alerts to a Telegram chat — either a direct message with the Akiles bot, or a group the bot has been added to.

Connecting Telegram

  1. In the Akiles admin panel, go to Integrations and create a new Telegram integration.
  2. The integration page shows two buttons:
    • Send to me on Telegram — opens a private chat with the Akiles bot.
    • Add bot to a group — opens the group picker so you can add the bot to an existing group.
  3. Pick whichever destination you prefer. Telegram will open and prompt you to send /start to the bot.
  4. Confirm. The bot replies with “Akiles connected. Notifications will be delivered to this chat.” and the integration page now shows the chat name as connected.

To redirect notifications to a different chat, click one of the buttons again — this stops sending notifications to the old chat and starts sending them to the new one.

Note

If you want to post to multiple Telegram chats, create multiple Telegram integrations.

Choosing what to deliver

Telegram messages are produced by the same notification system as Discord and Slack. See Notification rules for the four toggles (gadget actions, admin actions, alerts, custom rules) that control which events are sent.
