Discord

The Discord integration posts Akiles events and alerts to a Discord channel via an incoming webhook. Use it to stream door openings, admin actions, or hardware alerts into a channel your team is already watching.

Connecting Discord

  1. In Discord, open the server settings of the server you want messages delivered to. Go to Integrations → Webhooks and click New Webhook.
  2. Pick the destination channel and (optionally) a name and avatar. Click Copy Webhook URL.
  3. In the Akiles admin panel, go to Integrations and create a new Discord integration.
  4. Paste the webhook URL into the Discord webhook URL field and save.

Once configured, the integration shows “A Discord webhook is configured.” The URL itself is stored privately and never shown again. To rotate it, click Replace webhook URL and paste a new one.

Note

Anyone with the webhook URL can post to the channel as that webhook. Treat it like a secret. If it leaks, delete the webhook in Discord and create a new one — the old URL stops working immediately.

If you want to post to multiple Discord channels, create multiple Discord integrations.

Choosing what to deliver

Discord messages are produced by the same notification system as Slack and Telegram. See Notification rules for the four toggles (gadget actions, admin actions, alerts, custom rules) that control which events are sent.
