Gateway
The Akiles Gateway is a device that:
- Requires electrical power
- Connects to the Akiles Cloud (via Ethernet or Wi-Fi, depending on the variant)
- Emits a Bluetooth 5 signal to which other nearby Akiles devices connect (at a distance not exceeding 15m-20m)
Its function is to allow Akiles devices that do not connect directly to the Akiles Cloud to communicate with it. Thanks to the Akiles Gateway it is possible to:
- Open doors remotely from the App or WebApp
- Synchronize configuration changes in real time (create new user permissions, edit existing user permissions and/or delete existing access permissions)
- Send events and activity to the Akiles system
- Improve connection stability in installations with many devices
This device is useful when the access points are not electrified access points or automated systems.

Choose the Gateway Ethernet when the router is less than 15m away from the access points.
Choose the Gateway Wi-Fi when the router is more than 15m away from the access points, but good Wi-Fi signal reaches them.
Troubleshooting
When the device is Offline, it is necessary to identify whether this is because the Akiles device has no electrical power, no Internet connection is reaching it, or both. To do this, we must check if the LED indicator is on and the number of flashes it makes.
