Sites

Sites allow you to organize the spaces managed with Akiles. A site normally represents a physical location, such as: a building, a private home, an apartment, an office, a hotel, a school, a storage unit, a parking lot, a business center, for example. Within each site, the devices Akiles are installed to control the different gadgets (doors) in that specific space.

What are sites for?

Sites help keep the system organized when managing multiple spaces. From this section you can view and configure all the geographically different sites where you have the Akiles system installed in order to help you structure the system clearly and allow you to quickly locate the devices and gadgets (doors) installed in each space.

Site information

Within each site you can configure contact information and messages that will be displayed to members who have access to that space. This allows you to communicate important information without having to send it manually each time you invite someone. In the Site information section you can define:

This information will be available to members who have access to that site.

Site geolocation

Each site can have a defined geographic position on the map. This geolocation is used for features such as geofencing (you can learn more about this in the groups section) which allows you to check if a user is near a door before allowing an opening. When configuring this option on a site you can define:

When this option is activated on the gadgets within a group, the system will only allow opening those gadgets if the member is within that circle generated by that geographic point and proximity diameter.
