Akiles Gateway Ethernet
The Akiles Gateway Ethernet device is a device that:
- Requires electrical power
- Connects to the Akiles Cloud through an Ethernet connection to a router or nearby network switch
- Emits a Bluetooth 5 signal to which other nearby Akiles devices connect (at a distance not exceeding 15m-20m)
Its function is to allow Akiles devices that do not connect directly to the Akiles Cloud to communicate with the Akiles Cloud. Thanks to the Akiles Gateway Ethernet device it is possible to:
- Open doors remotely from the App or WebApp
- Synchronize configuration changes in real time (create new user permissions, edit existing user permissions and/or delete existing access permissions)
- Send events and activity to the Akiles system
- Improve connection stability in installations with many devices
This device is useful when the router is less than 15m away from the access points and these are not electrified access points or automated systems.
